Since the beginning of the new coronavirus epidemic, it has been largely an object of curiosity when medicine or a vaccine will be found for the virus. On the news websites and social media, a medicine, called Adutwumwaa Bitters, was claimed to be the remedy to the Covid-19. The claim, shared on 10 March 2020 and sent to Teyit, was mentioned in newspapers and news websites such as İHA, Türkiye, Yeni Şafak, Diriliş Postası, and Tv100.
The medicine in the claim is a product of Adutwumwaa Herbal Industries Limited and on sale for 30 years. The company made a statement on its own Facebook account to deny the claim on 29 February 2020.
Teyit talked to a company selling this product in Ghana. They said that it does not treat the new coronavirus. They also sent Teyit a photo of the original box.

The herbal product has been used for constipation, menstrual pains, rheumatism, and hypertension for 30 years in Africa.

In conclusion, the claim that the treatment of the Covid-19 was found is not true. The post in question is an example of a manipulated content.
