President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said “Mosul is Ours” during the opening ceremony of Hacı Sevim Yıldız Occupational Training Campus, appeared on various news sites.
The news was shared by Cumhuriyet and an important non-Turkish news site named Conflict News on their respective websites.
However, President Erdoğan, in his opening speech, said “In past, Kirkuk was ours, Mosul was ours”. He also added “Now, they are uncomfortable because I said ‘the National Pact(Misak-ı Milli)’. Why are you uncomfortable? I am giving you a history lesson”.
Note: In Turkish language, there is only one letter between bizimdi(was ours) and bizimdir(is ours).
